Meet Brandy
My name is Brandy Tollefson and I’m a working mom of three kids, Treasurer of the De Pere School Board, dedicated community volunteer, and I’m running for the Assembly because I know from my own life what families are going through. We deserve better.
When my son was 9 years old, he landed in the ER with a Type 1 diabetes diagnosis. Our world changed forever. Suddenly I was paying for expensive prescriptions, fighting with insurance, and stuck navigating an unpredictable health care system. I learned quickly that if I didn’t advocate for my son, no one else would.
And in 2024 when extremists were trying to take over our School Board, I ran for the board…and won. As the Board Treasurer, I’m committed to strong, smart investments in our kids and I’m proud that De Pere was recently recognized as one of the best school districts in the state. But it shouldn't matter where you live, we need to do more to invest in our schools without overburdening taxpayers.
While Ben Franklin and Republicans spend their time trying to take away our health care and failing to address rising prices, families in our district can’t afford groceries or rising health care costs. Franklin even voted to close the center for Homeless Veterans in Green Bay.
My husband and I are proud to raise our kids here and we love our community. In the Assembly, I’ll show up for northeast Wisconsin every day and never stop fighting for all our families.

SHOWING UP FOR WISCONSIN FAMILIES
Priorities on Day One
Here are a few of the important issues facing Wisconsin families that I will prioritize if elected to the Wisconsin Assembly's 88th District.
01
Expand Access to Healthcare
Ben Franklin and the Republicans have spent their time trying to take away working families' health care in favor of the insurance companies. If elected, I will not only reject Republican attempts to eliminate health care protections, but I will fight to strengthen them. No family should have to worry about getting sick or injured and not being able to afford proper medical care.
02
Lower Costs for Families
As Ben Franklin and the Republicans try to tell you that affordability is a "hoax", families across Wisconsin continue to see flat wages and rising prices in everyday living expenses such as groceries, insurance, and other basic needs. When I'm elected, we will focus on lowering the costs of living for lower and middle income families.
03
Support Public Education
The education of Wisconsin's children will always be a top priority to me - particularly in the public school systems. To ensure our kids have the brightest future possible, we need to ensure funding for public school and our teachers remains adequate in the years ahead. Republicans want to see those funds reallocated to private schools. If elected, I will fight against any attempt to hurt our public schools.
